🤔 What is this

Plain explanation Every time you write a long prompt to make AI "follow the rules", and next session or next person has to redo it. Agent Skills freezes that "how-to methodology" into a file package: next time just say "use XX skill", and AI follows the既定 process automatically — no re-teaching.

Technical definitionAgent Skills is an open standard initiated by Anthropic and widely adopted by Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, etc. It uses a standardized directory structure and a SKILL.md descriptor to package "how to perform a capability", with progressive loading — content is fed to the model only when needed, saving tokens.

  1. Pick a scenario: choose a task you repeatedly ask AI to do (e.g. "write weekly report from template", "review code security");
  2. Write SKILL.md: clear name and description in frontmatter, clear steps and boundaries in body;
  3. Add scripts/references: put programmatic parts in scripts, long knowledge in references;
  4. Place locally: user-level ~/.workbuddy/skills/ or project-level .workbuddy/skills/;
  5. Invoke: say "use XX skill" or describe the need and let the Agent auto-match.
